Introduction to Health Science was a course created to enhance the learning of students in the Health Science major by teaching topics like Social Determinants of Health, Race in Medicine, and Medical Terminology. At the end of the course, students had to create a health promotions project on an initiative through the Healthy People 2020 website. This project was presented at a campus-wide health fair in order to raise issues on various topics.
