Global Health in the 21st Century
Course Objectives
1. Identify and understand the four themes in public health that affect the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious and chronic diseases.
2. Explain the organization of public health systems and the role they play in combatting international health disparities.
3. Apply interdisciplinary knowledge when analytically, quantitatively, and critically solving problems too complex health concerns in South Africa.
4. Develop effective verbal and written communication skills to explain an in-depth understanding of major public health concepts presented during the course.
5. Develop a culturally relevant logic model and Google-based website to improve women's health outcomes in the region.
This project was designed to discuss the top three health disparities in the country of South Africa as well as to discuss the cultural and political influences that may impact the top health issues.
The objective of this project was to pick a topic and discuss the effects that it has on citizens of both Trinidad and Tobago.
